Job Introduction
We are delighted to be recruiting a Marketing and Engagement Manager to join Rapport. This is an exciting opportunity to manage marketing and engagement for the Central Business Services (CBS) and Workplace Services function in the UK. This role offers varied challenges with a real opportunity to make a difference, working closely with the Workplace Services’ Leadership Team, advising them and engaging colleagues at all levels.
Our client is one of the Big Four Accountancy firms in the world, and you will play a crucial role in delivering a 5* memorable experience to our clients, guests, visitors, and key stakeholders.
This is a full-time, permanent role (40 hours per week), working from Monday to Friday on a shift rota basis between 7 AM to 7 PM. Overtime may be required on occasion of events as per business needs.
Main Responsibilities
- Develop and deliver an internal marketing and engagement strategy to support Workplace Services’ leadership and to feed into firmwide communications,
- Advise Workplace Services’ leaders on their communications agendas including key messages, tone of voice and channels, with a priority focus on the Head of Workplace Services.
- Own, manage, produce, review and edit all regular Workplace Services customer and people communications.
- Plan, lead and deliver several experiential (mix face to face and digital) engagement events per year, including Workplace Services’ town halls, workshops and Operational Team Meetings.
- Adapt and contextualise firmwide campaigns and messages for Workplace Services’ audiences.
- Work closely with other Enabling Functions and clients and markets colleagues, especially the CBS Change & Communications Lead and firmwide communications.
- Through strong relationships and both qualitative and quantitative feedback and measurement techniques, have a clear view of what is working well and areas that need improvement.
- Feed Workplace Services updates (client stories, key successes, talent initiatives etc.) into CBS and firmwide communications, working closely with the central communications team.
- Bring new ideas to the table, push the boundaries of existing marketing and engagement best practice and deliver new and highly effective communications.
- Be an active member of the firm’s wider Internal Communications network (central team and peers in the businesses), working closely with them to deliver firmwide messages through appropriate local channels and share best practice and knowledge.
- Work effectively in diverse teams within an inclusive team culture where people are recognised for their contribution.

The Ideal Candidate
- Strong interpersonal skills with ability to build solid relationships and gain credibility with senior stakeholders, advising and influencing them
- Extensive experience in developing and delivering effective and engaging internal communications in a large/matrix organisation, preferably in a communications business partner or closely related role
- Excellent verbal and written communications, with a keen eye for detail, able to understand differences in leadership style/voice and adapt as required
- Strong understanding of tone of voice and a natural journalistic/ storytelling style
- Strategic thinker with excellent project management and organisational skills, and the ability to work under pressure and deliver against challenging deadlines and multiple priorities
- Great team player, with the ability to drive their own agenda

- Have proven leadership/people management and customer/client service delivery skills in a similar role within a five-star establishment (e.g., luxury hotel, premium airline, or corporate environment)

- Be highly organised, with passion for delivering high standard service and going the extra mile
- Have great interpersonal skills, an outgoing and vibrant personality
- Demonstrate an excellent command of the English language, both in verbal and written communication
- Be IT and computer literate
- Be self-motivated and able to adapt to a changing environment
- Possess the ability to prepare and present monthly and quarterly presentations
- Have a financial understanding and managing budgets

- working with external third parties including creative agencies / marketing teams
