Guest Service Manager (TJGSM)

Job Introduction

We are recruiting a Guest Services Manager to join the Rapport team at our client's offices located in Watford.

Only a brief 15min journey from Euston Station in London, the Guest Services Manager will be responsible for overseeing the smooth running of the Front of House Department which includes but is not limited to Reception, Meeting Rooms and Event Management and Internal Client Experience within the stunning corporate office building!

Our client is a world leader in off-price apparel and home fashions. This is a dynamic team that works in an environment where no day is the same.

As Guest Service Manager, you will be working a 40 hour-week Monday - Friday (Flexible within the business needs) Operating hours for the site are from 07:30 - 19:00.

Role Responsibility

The Guest Services Manager will include:

  • Proactively dealing with clients and guests requests in an efficient, friendly and timely manner, ensuring all business requirements are dealt with promptly and professionally
  • Take the lead on proposing innovation regularly, challenging yourself and your team to raise the bar 
  • Ensuring the smooth running of meeting rooms and events operations
  • Making sure general maintenance on floors is monitored and any issues are highlighted promptly
  • Assisting in coaching and leading the team 
  • Budgets and Financial Planning Awareness
  • Experience in visitor management systems
  • Exceptional People Management skills

The Ideal Candidate

We are looking for a candidate who:

  • Is flexible and adaptable in approach and style
  • Will adhere to procedures but understands when to think outside the box
  • Has the ability to self-manage and proactively deal with the business as usual of the operation whilst also introducing innovations and fresh ideas to bring the team into the future of Guest Services
  • Has at least 2 years' management experience and has demonstrable experience in motivating and leading a team
  • Has strong financial acumen and is used to dealing with budgets and forecasting
  • Has strong command of the English language, both verbal and written.
