Job Introduction
We are looking for Reception and Switchboard Team Leader to join our Rapport team, based at our client’s offices in the heart of the City of London. We are a team of 18 across two buildings and cover services such as Reception, Switchboard, Reservations and Floor Concierge.
The client is a global leader in insurance, risk management and consulting services, and you will be responsible for the Reception Services and Switchboard facility, ensuring high levels of customer service and a professional front of house and back of house standard when meeting, greeting and dealing with internal and external enquiries. You will be guest focused at all times, by being approachable and quick to exceed expectations in fulfilling customer needs. Motivate, train and coach the reception team and actively seek new initiatives to further improve the reception service.
Type of contract: Full-time, Permanent
Hours: 40 per week (Monday-Friday; shift rota basis; 7:30 AM - 6 PM)

Main responsibilities
- Promoting and supporting a first-class and professional front-of-house service to employees, guests, and visitors either in person or over the telephone
- Motivating and leading by example, ensuring the team adheres to the procedures and standards as described in the manual at all times
- Ensuring telephone enquiries are dealt with in line with the company standards in a professional, consistent and efficient manner, minimising missed calls
- Managing the meeting rooms and allocating all the requests whenever possible
- Maintaining efficient relationships and communication with all support departments (AV/Catering/Facilities)
- Providing feedback and coaching staff members, ensuring they are aware of the Rapport standards and requirements, and carry out their duties to the best of their ability in a timely and efficient manner
- Monitoring the work of all Reception and Switchboard team members and assisting with appraisals
- Taking day-to-day responsibility for the smooth operation of the client services areas ant team
The ideal candidate will

- Be passionate about delivering high standard service and going the extra mile
- Ideally have at least 1 year of experience in a similar role in a 5-star hotel or corporate environment
