Receptionist (GWR)

Job Introduction

We are looking for a friendly, professional, and proactive Receptionist to join our front-of-house team. As the first point of contact for all guests, clients, and colleagues, this role is key to creating a positive and lasting impression. You’ll be joining a supportive and service-driven team that takes pride in delivering excellence every day.

Our front-of-house team is made up of one dedicated Reception Manager and three Receptionists, all passionate about delivering an exceptional guest experience. We take great pride in creating a welcoming, professional, and polished environment where every visitor feels valued. With a strong team spirit and a shared commitment to excellence, we consistently strive to uphold the highest standards of service, ensuring that every interaction leaves a lasting positive impression.

Type of Contract: Part-time, Permanent

Hours: 32 per week (Monday-Thursday; shift rota basis between 7:30 AM – 7 PM)

Main Responsibilities

  • Deliver a five-star front-of-house experience for all clients, visitors, and staff.
  • Always maintain a professional and welcoming reception area.
  • Coordinate meeting room bookings and ensure rooms are prepared to a high standard.
  • Issue and manage access passes and maintain visitor logs.
  • Handle incoming calls and emails with professionalism and accuracy.
  • Liaise with internal departments to ensure smooth day-to-day operations.
  • Support the wider team with administrative duties and operational tasks.
  • Respond promptly to requests and resolve issues efficiently.

The ideal candidate will

  • Experienced in high-end front-of-house environments, ideally within law firms, investment firms, or other corporate settings.
  • Comfortable working in a fast-paced environment with multiple tasks and requests happening simultaneously.
  • Highly professional, with excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Confident in managing VIP clients and sensitive situations with discretion.
  • Proactive, organised, and able to prioritise effectively.
  • A team player who works well under pressure and maintains a calm, positive attitude.
