Events and Projects Coordinator

Job Introduction

The award-winning Rapport People Team is growing to include a digital and in-person Events and Projects Coordinator.

This new role will be responsible for coordinating our people events, focused on high levels of engagement and learning.

You will join an existing team of 2 L&D Business Partners, a D&I Business Partner, a Talent & Culture Manager, a HR Operations Business Partner, 2 dedicated Recruitment professionals, the Head of HR, and the Head of Learning. The role reports into the latter. 

Rapport's People Team have won the HR Catey Award; we are therefore looking for an innovative personality to help further our ambitious goals.

Role Responsibility

  • Ownership of Rapport Events: including planning, communication, budget and vendor management, guest list management, and the successful delivery of our digital and in-person events.
  • Lead on Rapport’s Engagement calendar with focus on delivering events and key learning initiatives.
  • Build and maintain effective project plans, including tracking tasks through to completion, and gathering insights and feedback to improve future projects.
  • Develop “subject matter expertise” in digital technology focused on our virtual training studio.
  • Support for Learning & Development team, including active involvement with delivery of L&D strategy.

The Ideal Candidate

  • Be proficient in written English, and with clear and confident communication skills;
  • Demonstrate excellent people skills, with a thorough knowledge of service operations;
  • Excel at project management and demonstrating personal organisation skills, with high attention to detail and ability to manage multiple tasks and projects simultaneously;
  • Have experience planning and organising creative and engaging in-person and digital events;
  • Have experience with technology and creating engaging online content;
  • Be a collaborative team player who reaches out to support others, whilst also being confident to ask for support to successfully achieve tasks and project outcomes;
  • Be passionate about uncovering data and sharing insights that allow us improve, innovate and positively impact business outcomes.
