AV Technician (AIAV)

Job Introduction

We are seeking a proactive and technically skilled AV Support Coordinator to join our headquarters team at a leading insurance firm. This role is key to ensuring the seamless operation of internal and external meetings, events, and video conferencing services across our offices. You will work closely with small team including the AV Technician to provide hands-on support, assist with the implementation of new AV systems, and act as a bridge between technical teams and business users and the Meeting Room Coordinator to ensure the smooth cooperation between the booking and services requested.

Type of contract: Full-time, Permanent

Hours: 40 per week (Monday-Friday, shift rota basis) with occasional travel to Croydon.

Main responsibilities

  • Provide daily operational support for internal and external meetings, including setup, testing, and troubleshooting of AV systems in meeting rooms and event spaces.
  • Act as the first point of contact for AV-related queries and issues, ensuring prompt and effective resolution.
  • Assist with the testing, rollout, and adoption of new AV and collaboration technologies, including conferencing platforms, room systems, and digital signage.
  • Work closely with the AV Technician and wider IT/project teams to report issues, contribute to improvements, and support project delivery.
  • Liaise with external vendors or service providers as required during installations or events.
  • Maintain inventory of AV equipment and consumables; ensure systems are updated and maintained.
  • Document processes, common issues, and fixes to support knowledge sharing and reduce repeat problems.
  • Support training and onboarding of users to help them effectively utilize AV tools and systems.
  • Assist with occasional out-of-hours or early-morning support for executive or client-facing meetings and events.
  • Setting up event spaces and temporary offices which involves moving chairs, tables and equipment
